staffmagnet supports local events and groups

As an active member of the DC community, the staffmagnet team enjoys participating in and supporting events and groups. Some recent events sponsored by staffmagnet include: DC Design Talks, Social Matchbox DC and WIDGETdevcamp. In addition to sponsoring these events, our team is frequently called on to help organize events, raise funds for them, and to help connect group organizers with each other.

staffmagnet, LLC officially launched in October 2007 with three partners. Among these were several of the DC area’s hottest startup companies: Webs.com, Razoo, and CrossMine. Shortly after that Positive Energy USA became a partner. In January we hosted our first successful startup company hiring and networking event, Social Matchbox, at TEQCORNER, with the help of the Washington, DC area startup and blog communities and Jobmatchbox. Close to 20 startup companies and nearly 150 people attended. In February the company opened its first office in the Woodley Park neighborhood of Washington, DC just a block and a half from the Woodley Park/Adams Morgan Metro stop. With an increasing workload and room to grow, the company is adding a part time researcher and a full time recruiting associate. The expanded team will allow our team to better serve our partners and the community.
